Pouring the Tower Foundation!

LOTS of images, Be Patient!!

Well here we are!  It's about 8 a.m. and the concrete is coming at 9 so I had better get busy on the clean-up!
As you can see there is still a bit of water in the bottom that I couldn't get out.  Kind of messy getting in there
to clean out the coffee cup that has blown in there and the plywood pieces that the workers that helped with
the last stage of the project had used to keep from slipping in the mud.

Below is just a side shot of the prepped project.  I just checked with a level and need to do a bit of last
minute shimming of two of the legs.

Just a down shot before climbing in!  Should be fun getting around the rebar!

Some shims in and then climb back out to check the level again!

Below: I'd used the come-along hooked to the truck to help tilt up the tower just a bit after loosening the straps
on the back side just a touch.

And the concrete begins!

Now that the concrete is started let me take a moment to rub it in a bit.  This one is for you Devon.  Below
is the weather report for this week!  Heh, your screwed Devon!  (grin)

Yes...I know, that was bad of me!  Heh.  (for anyone not on the 145.17 repeater I'll just say that was
an inside joke!)

Anyway, back to your program now in progress!

Rick bringing a load of concrete across the yard in the buggie!  Pretty handy thing!

A close up of the buggie, and an accidental free advertisement for the rental company, heh.

Everything is going well!  I have been holding the rebar steady and didn't really have too much of a
problem with it moving around.  I used the rake to work it into the corners while Rick was going for the
next load.

Some of the water coming to the surface on the left, it gets mixed in better later.  Trylon specs call for
2000 to 2500 psi concrete, the mix started at 3000 though.

The next few are just the buggied being filled.  (yes, I DID feel the need to state the obvious!)

Since everyone else is getting their props I might as well add that the concrete was from
City Concrete in Rhome, Tx.

Full to the brim!  Now to get it leveled off a bit!

Rick got quite a bit done while I was cleaning up the tools!

Isn't it pretty!  Now to wait for it to set!
