The dipole I made below is the
one I am currenty using for 75 meters!
The great thing about dipoles
is the lower in frequency you go the less you have
to worry about the antenna setup!
I mean look at this thing. I soldered the wires to the so-239 and put a zip strap in a knot a little way down and used that spot to tie the antenna up on the tower. |
In this photo you can clearly see that at some point I broke the wire and instead of putting a new one on I just tied a knot in it and re-soldered the wires! I always make a dipole a foot or two longer on each end than necessary and instead of 'trimming' it back to tune it I just fole the extra length back onto the main length and just wrap it around the main length. As long as it is close to the main wire it doesn't see the extra! |
