Antenna Tram - Trolley Project
Round 2  :)
Tuesday, May 10, 2005

Ok, so it's been 9 months since I messed with the project last!  That seems to be how my projects go
around here, heh!   Anyway I got to thinking about it and did another test.  This time I put the pull rope
down below the trolley cable and things went nicely as you will see below.

Next I will drill a spot to place a bolt about half way between the bottom of the trolley and the wheel
that the rope rides on.  For the test the pull line is simply on the bottom.  Anyway to the pictures.
About 400k of pictures so be patient!

Above its hard to see but you can make it out a bit.  I have my lawn tractor on the left out of the picture
and it is the anchor for the tram line.

Closer view, it is riding nicely with it being pulled from below the tram line.  Ignore the connections on the
rope behind the trolley, I didn't have a long enough rope so have a few connected together.

I just attached the rope to the top of the tower, not to the mast.  I had thought about a mast test but need
to make a braket yet.   My first 'real' test will probably be just hauling up a 12 ele 2 meter yagi for a fun
test.  Not a 'real' test if you will since it is small in comparison but will help to see how things ride going up.
The first real test will be taking the Beam that you see on there off later!

I need to round up some U bolts and flat plates to attach the antennas to the cross piece.
